CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Vivid Girl Briana Banks is starring in a co-production for Vivid Entertainment Group and Red Light District directed by Manuel Ferrara.

Ferrara, the two-time, reigning AVN Male Performer of the Year, today is shooting Banks in a scene with Michael Stefano (2004 AVN Male POY), Mick Blue and John Strong in which she will get d.p.’ed. Banks will also do a one-on-one with Ferrara and participate in a group scene with Red Light contract girl Brianna Love and Rita Faltoyano, with Stefano, Strong and Ben English.

“Basically, I just want to do something where Vivid, the feature company, meets Red Light, the gonzo company,” Ferrara told AVN.com Tuesday, noting that Banks is “probably the strongest Vivid Girl” in terms of performing. “I want to show that a girl like Briana Banks that is very well known as a contract girl can be as hardcore as the kind of gonzo that Red Light does.

“Plus she has a huge name in the industry. It’s very good. It’s going to be the first time we worked together. We have some common friends and have gone out a couple times bowling. She’s actually really good at bowling too.”

Ferrara personally selected the cast which also includes Flower Tucci, Courtney Simpson and Tiffany Rayne.

HOLLYWOOD - Lacie Heart will host Vivid Entertainment’s third monthly live “XXX Comedy Night” this Thursday at The Hollywood Improv (8162 Melrose Avenue) starting at 10 p.m.

It marks the first on-stage appearance for the 19-year-old Heart as a Vivid Girl.

“Vivid Girls Stefani Morgan and Monique Alexander told me they had a fabulous time hosting the first two ‘XXX Comedy Nights’ and I can’t wait for my turn on March 16th,” said Heart, whose first movie, Lacie’s Life, will be out on May 10.

The March “XXX Comedy Night” show will feature popular comedians Doug Benson (VH1’s “Best Week Ever”), The Sklar Brothers (ESPN’s “Cheap Seats”), Jay Davis (HBO’s “Tourgasm”), Ngaio Bealum (”High Times Comedy Night”) and the sketch group Persons Parking (winner of the Dirtiest Sketch in Los Angeles Contest) plus more to be announced.

All audience members will receive a special gift, courtesy of Vivid. Tickets are now on sale for $15 each and can be purchased through the Improv website www.improv.com or by calling 323-651-2583.

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Director Rob Rotten and Metro Studios’ Loaded Digital line are set to release Porn of the Dead on March 28. The feature was previously shelved for a short time because Metro was uncomfortable with some of the content in it. The title was then re-edited, and is now available for pre-order.

Rotten is happy with how the feature has come out. “I think it’s a good compromise between me and Metro,” Rotten told AVN.com. “I’m really happy with the finished product.”

Like some of Rotten’s other films, Porn of the Dead is a vignette-style feature, but unlike his previous titles, the five sex scenes are tied together with a full-blown zombie movie. “It’s a little disturbing, but at the same time, really funny,” commented Rotten.

“I went into this project trying to make it more like a zombie movie, but the sex is really great too.”

Rotten explained to AVN.com that he used 12 gallons of fake blood and four different special effects guys during the making of Porn of the Dead. “There are full-on dismemberments, as well as hearts and a bunch of other body parts being ripped out and eaten in the movie.”

As with other Rotten titles, the soundtrack is a pivotal part of Porn of the Dead. Completely comprised of death metal bands, Rotten got music for the feature from bands like Diacide, Blood Red Throne and Impaled. “I can’t believe I got bands this good for the movie.”

Porn of the Dead stars Sierra Sinn, Nikki Jett (in her only sex scene), Ruby Knox (in her first b/g scene), Hillary Scott and Trina Michaels.

LOS ANGELES - Wearing a small tank top and a pair of ripped blue jeans, Stefani Morgan sits on her suede sofa in her spacious Los Angeles apartment. It’s quiet in the tidy room when her cell phone vibrates nearby.

She sniffles slightly then smiles broadly before apologizing for not wearing makeup. “I hope you don’t mind, but I’m not feeling well,” she says as her Sidekick mobile blinks incessantly. “It’s a girlfriend. I’ll get back to her,” she says just as her cell phone again begins to vibrate.

It’s just another day for 20-year-old Riverside, Calif., native and one of Vivid Entertainment’s newest contract performers.

With her first starring feature Star hitting video stores last month, Morgan is taking a break from work, having recently finished shooting on her sixth starring feature and having completed her first season as co-host of Playboy TV’s “The Bang” entertainment news series.

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Performer Hailey Paige will join Smash Pictures as their newest director. Smash Pictures vice president Stuart Wall explained that Paige’s first video will be a wall-to-wall title.

The title of Paige’s first release is tentatively Virgin Territory, and will center around teens in white panties shot in a gritty, gonzo style catering to those who appreciate an explosive hardcore movie yet with a female touch. Every girl will perform anal in the movie.

“We were impressed with the breadth of Haley Paige’s knowledge, in terms of composing a hardcore scene. She has been in the business for over two years and has been shot in a variety of different scenes encompassing every aspect of videos, from hardcore to couple’s films. She loves to watch very nasty sex scenes in her private life and once reviewed movies for a radio show,” said Wall.
